Known as a perennial in the southern zones and an annual in the northern zones. Lantana needs well drained soil in a sunny area. Zones 2-11, lantana is drought tolerant and attracts butterflies. The soil needs to be warm before planting lantana. These coloful clusters of lantana were filmed at Walmart lawn and garden center in Cleveland, GA. Each cluster may have a variety of colors. A six inch depth and 4 inch width should be sufficient when planting, also rocks or pebbles on the bottom would improve drainage. Mix garden soil and compost and leave the stems of the plant just above soil level. Needs watered weekly and adding mulch will help to retain moisture.
